It has been another very successful period for our SFT Students of whom we are all extremely proud. Congratulations to all of those who achieved their aviation milestones – may there be many more to come!

Nick & Benji– RPL 

Huge congratulations to our father-son duo Nick and Benji who both passed their RPL recently! Nick and Benji have been flying together on weekends for the past year training towards their RPL. Their father-son bond allows them to train and study together as well as share marvellous achievements such as this. Since their flight tests, both Benji and Nick have begun their navigation training towards PPL, and we look forward to them progressing further together.

Kate - Grade 2 Flight Instructor & Design Feature Training Endorsement

Congratulations to our own instructor, Kate Boschen, who passed both her Grade 2 Upgrade and Design Feature Training Endorsement flight tests. Kate can now send people first solo, conduct flight reviews, teach in more sophisticated aircraft, and much more! We are looking forward to watching her progress through her instructing career. Well done Kate!

Patrick - Flight Instructor Rating Renewal

Well done to Patrick who recently renewed his Flight Instructor Rating with us. Instructors must renew their qualifications after the first year they hold their rating, then every two years thereafter. We wish Patrick all the best in his future instructing and aviation endeavours.

Jack - PPL

Huge congratulations to Jack who has passed his PPL! Jack has been hard at work the last few months, working full time whilst completing all 7 CPL theory examinations to save up to complete his PPL, and proceed with CPL command building. Test conditions for Jack and examiner Sam were beautiful, heading down to Shellharbour and back. Having also been on our recent flyaway, Jack is well underway with building his required 100hrs command to obtain his CPL and we look forward to seeing his aviation journey continue. 

Marcus - RPL

Well done to Marcus who passed his RPL flight test! Marcus enjoys flying early in the morning, making the most of the calm conditions and light winds. Even though his flight test was at 10am, he still experienced perfect conditions and passed with flying colours! As well as learning to fly, Marcus is also studying at university. We look forward to seeing Marcus’ progression through to PPL and beyond.

Lockie - PPL

A heartfelt congratulations to Lockie for achieving his PPL. Lockie has been working hard towards his PPL since late last year, when he joined the SFT team as our hangar keeper and aircraft washer. He works hard every Saturday to keep our fleet clean and does odd jobs in the hangar to help operations run smoothly and ensure we have a clean work environment. His hard work and dedication as an employee exemplify his attitude towards his flight training. Since passing his PPL, Lockie has already completed four of this CPL theory exams and has completed quite a number of his command hours, well on the right path for achieving his CPL.

Clarissa - Flight Instructor Rating

Congratulations to Clarissa who completed her Flight Instructor Rating! Clarissa is now a fully qualified Grade 3 Flight Instructor and eligible to start teaching students how to fly. We wish her the very best for her future instructing endeavours and hope to see her training students soon!

Adrian - Flight Instructor Rating

Huge congratulations go to Adrian who also completed his Flight Instructor Rating recently. Adrian has been working very hard for the last few months with Tim and Kate, practicing both theory briefings and flights. We wish him the very best as he begins the very first phase of his Flight Instructor journey. Well done!

Silas - RPL

Well done to Silas who passed his RPL flight test! Silas has been working hard towards his flight training on the weekends whilst still attending school, flying with instructor Richard. He had beautiful conditions on the day of his flight test with examiner Steve, and passed with flying colours! Congratulations Silas, and all the best for your future aviation endeavours.

Thomas - First Solo

Congratulations to Thomas who completed his First Solo recently! Thomas has been flying consistently with Instructor Kayla over the last few months. They headed out early Saturday morning before the wind and heat picked up too much and conducted three dual circuits before Thomas dropped Kayla off in the run-up bay to complete his solo flight. We look forward to seeing Thomas’ progress through to his RPL.

Abbey - PPL

Our congratulations go to Abbey who has passed her PPL flight test! Abbey has been working hard with our instructors over the past few months and all her efforts have paid off. Abbey is now able to fly anywhere in Australia and enjoy all the privileges of her new licence. Well done Abbey, a great achievement!
