PETER EDWARDS

Head of Operations

Peter has been flying privately and commercially since 1974 and holds a commercial pilot licence, Grade 1 Flying Instructor rating with Multi Engine and IFR training approvals. Flying experience includes DC3 and Cessna Citation class rated aircraft. Also Peter has experience in international ferry flights. An ex teacher he enjoys teaching and flying.

KAYLA BENTLEY

Grade 1 Flight Instructor 

Kayla is a current Grade 1 and Multi-Engine Instructor who graduated from Basair Aviation College with a Diploma in Aviation - Commercial Pilot’s Licence, Multi-Engine Instrument Rating and Instructor Rating. Kayla is currently working towards her training approvals for Instrument Rating (IRTE) and Night VFR (NVFR). She has completed all 7  ATPL examinations, holding a Frozen ATPL theory credit. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and helping others to achieve their goals whilst working towards a career in the Airlines.

SFT Instructor Kate Boschen

KATE BOSCHEN

Grade 2 Flight Instructor 

Kate is passionate about flying and is a Grade 2 Flight Instructor with Instructor Training and Design Feature Training Approvals, currently working towards her NVFR Training Approval. A UNSW Aviation Management graduate, she combines strong technical knowledge with a genuine love of teaching. Having completed all seven ATPL examinations, she holds a frozen ATPL theory credit. Kate enjoys helping students build confidence and skill, guiding the next generation of pilots toward achieving their aviation goals.

CLARISSA BARONO

Grade 3 Flight Instructor

Clarissa is a current Grade 3 instructor, with Design Feature Training Approval. She graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Aviation Management and a Graduate Diploma in Flying, finishing with a Multi-Engine Instrument Rating. She has completed all 7 ATPL examinations, holding a Frozen ATPL theory credit. Clarissa is passionate about guiding others to a successful career in aviation while she also works towards her career with an airline.

MARK KELLY

Grade 1 Flight Instructor & Examiner

Mark has over 40 years flying experience as an Airline Captain, Trainer, Flight Examiner and Simulator Instructor. His career has spanned flying and instructing in the Military (RAAF) on Jet and transport aircraft, for a major Airline and Corporate Aviation. He has now returned to his General Aviation roots where he is a Grade 1 Flight Instructor with Multi Engine and IFR training approval. Mark is passionate about passing on his extensive aviation knowledge to the current and next generation of pilots. Mark volunteers at the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society where he flies as a DHC4 Caribou pilot and instructor.

TIM HILDEBRANDT

Grade 2 Flight Instructor (part time)

Tim has been flying since 1998 and holds a Grade 2 instructor rating with Instructor Training Approval as well as night VFR, manual propellor pitch control and retractable undercarriage training endorsements. Tim has extensive experience as a high school classroom teacher. As well as management experience in schools at Deputy and Headmaster level. He brings this knowledge, together with his passion and love for aviation, to create a learning experience that motivates and supports each individual student through their flying journey.

WES BROWN

Grade 1 Flight Instructor (part time)

Wes has been flying since 1987 and holds a Grade 1 instructor rating with IFR and Multi Engine training approvals, tail wheel, night VFR, constant speed and retractable undercarriage training endorsements. Wes is passionate about teaching people how to fly and helping students achieve their aviation goals. He brings a wealth of experience as well as enthusiasm to instructing.

RICHARD URE

Grade 2 Flight Instructor (part time)

Richard has been flying since 1985. He has a Commercial Pilot Licence and Grade 2 Instructor Rating. He has 30 years experience as an Air Traffic Controller and currently holds ratings in the Sydney Terminal Control Unit and Bankstown Tower. He enjoys sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge of aviation with others.

JOSHUA RAMOS

Grade 3 Flight Instructor

Josh graduated with distinction from the Czech Technical University in Prague, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Transport and Telecommunications under the study field Professional Pilot. He holds Commercial Pilot’s Licenses from both EASA and CASA, as well as Multi-Engine Instrument Ratings. Additionally, Josh has completed an EASA Multi-Crew Cooperation Course and passed the EASA ATPL theory exams. Drawing from his diverse flying experiences in Europe and Australia, Josh hopes to share a unique perspective with students, enriching their learning journey.

BRIAN RODRICKS

Grade 2 Flight Instructor (part time)

Brian has a background in electrical engineering and pursued his passion for flying with the goal of becoming a flight instructor after retiring from his main profession. He currently is a Grade 2 Flight Instructor with Instructor Training approval as well as NVFR and Design Feature training endorsements. Being an aviation enthusiast he volunteers at the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society (HARS) and is keen to share his interest by instructing students and sharing his experiences with like minded individuals.

DAN MARTIN

Standby Head of Operations

Dan has been flying for over 30 years and has an extensive background in both General Aviation and the Airline Industry.  Dan has a passion for Safety, Compliance and Flight Training with a focus on making flying fun and rewarding. Dan holds an Airline Transport Pilots Licence, a Grade 1 Flight Instructor Rating, Instrument Flight Training and Testing Approval (IR) and (IPC) as well as RPL and PPL Flight Testing Approval. Dan has various tertiary qualifications in aviation and is (FRAeS) recognised with the Royal Aeronautical Society and provides casual training for all licence levels and ratings offered by our school.

Chief Executive Officer

John has been flying privately since 1976 and has been involved with numerous flying organisations in non-flying and governance roles.

Keith has been flying privately since 2007 In both Recreational and General Aviation Aircraft and has experience in teaching and management roles.
